They’ve completely lost it.
Now they’re even attacking the media.
Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) went off on a reporter last night at a debate telling him to, “Shut up!”

Then Hinchey attacked the reporter.

The Ithaca Journal reported on the attack:

A heated debate between U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey, D-Hurley, and a Kingston newspaper correspondent Thursday night allegedly led to a physical altercation, according to media reports.

Hinchey, who is facing Republican George Phillips for the 22nd Congressional District seat, was taking questions from the media prior to a League of Women Voters debate in Saugerties. William J. Kemble, a correspondent for The Daily Freeman, asked Hinchey about a financial interest he might have in a project he secured federal funding for in the Saugerties area, according to Capital Tonight. Reached Friday, Hinchey’s campaign said that’s not true.

The questioning, which was caught on tape, led to Hinchey telling the Kemble to “shut up” after the reporter continually tried to ask questions about the topic.

Here’s where it gets murky.

After the questioning, a Your News Now videographer said the two had an altercation, and alleged that Hinchey poked Kemble in the chest, according to Capital Tonight. This was not on camera.

  1. This is my Congress Castrati. I loathe him. He’s vile and arrogant and as I say, the only difference between him and Dennis Kucinich is that Dennis has confessed to seeing a flying saucer.

  2. Arrogant. He thinks we work for him.

  3. He’ll still be elected in that moonbat asylum.

  4. Yeah tough guy You talkin to me? You talkin to me? He’s even got the same crazy look in his eye as Travis…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzPBUGUM7KQ

  5. “…about a financial interest he might have in a project he secured federal funding for in the Saugerties area, according to Capital Tonight. Reached Friday, Hinchey’s campaign said that’s not true.”
    ……………

A lot depends on whether THIS is true, also.

  6. Poked him in the chest? That is assault? Are we becoming a nation of absolute wimps???

  7. I don’t think a poke in the chest is that big of a deal.
What is a big deal is a complete and utter MORON like Hinchey being a Congressman.
He represents 3/4 of a million people.

Is that the best we can do as a nation???

  8. The law indeed says that an unwanted poke in the chest is assault.

Hinchey is loathsome. That reporter should absolutely press charges against him. It would be a perfect use of the assault law against this detestable over-regulator.

  9. This week former Mayor Ed Koch crossed party lines to endorse Republican/Conservative George Phillips who is giving Hinchey the race of his life. Phillips is a Reagan conservative and can use support to polish off Hinchey.http://electgeorgephillips.com/

  10. A poke in the chest is bullying at a time when politicians are claiming moral authority to deal with bullying of gays following a suicide in Hinchey’s state. Never forget this media clip which proves Hinchey is a Truther and truely a dangerous sociopath… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-odjN6T0gw

  11. Alright folks put your thinking hats on. IF any male poked his finger in any females chest thats Assault if not sexual assault. Assault is a physical contact that was not wanted. As week as you want its assault. Now then turn the tables on the left, they have given us plenty of weapons. I use them all. the left hates when the right uses their “rules”. LOL I beat them at theri own game. LIL whiney terds. powder is dry.

  12. Rudeness has sunk candidates before now and continues to be a way to vet people. He should have watched his mouth, and kept his hands to himself.

  13. The slimes are going around the bend, they ain’t used to having reporters ask them questions that they don’t know are coming. How many does this make now, I can remember at least 10 incidents like this in the last 3 months. What ever were doing, we need to do more of they are showing their insanity and corruptness.

  14. Isn’t it time that we give all the Communist nomenklatura our long-desired Ceausescu moment?

Watch what happens at one minute mark — this is what we need to deliver to the Socialist Democrat Workers’ Party on 2 November (and every day thereafter).

  15. How rude to ask him about his graft. He’s worked very hard to make easy money, so leave him alone.

Ceausescu’s legacy? Somewhere approaching fifteen TONS of plastique … still around, still killing … human beings.

  17. Your use of the term “assault” is misleading.

I kinda hope they do this to Kim Jung Il. If anyone deserves it, it’s him.
