Obama told Americans back in November that democrats would not sneak in funding for abortion in their health care bill.
It was a lie.
The Obama Administration just approved the first taxpayer-funded abotions under Obamacare.
Life News reported:
The Obama administration has officially approved the first instance of taxpayer funded abortions under the new national government-run health care program. This is the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned about when Congress considered the bill.
The Obama Administration will give Pennsylvania $160 million to set up a new “high-risk” insurance program under a provision of the federal health care legislation enacted in March.
It has quietly approved a plan submitted by an appointee of pro-abortion Governor Edward Rendell under which the new program will cover any abortion that is legal in Pennsylvania.
The high-risk pool program is one of the new programs created by the sweeping health care legislation, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, President Obama signed into law on March 23. The law authorizes $5 billion in federal funds for the program, which will cover as many as 400,000 people when it is implemented nationwide.
Of course, Barack Obama promised Americans several times that abortion would not be covered under the bill.

Question, clarification really, on the following statement:

Is this referring to the Obamacare “high-risk” pools for previously uninsured people with pre-existing conditions – which we read have still not been established?? Or is this something different, and if so, what exactly is it and for whom?
My question arises from the reports that state the “high-risk pools” (for the previously uninsurable found in the Obamacare plan) will be so costly that no more than 200,000 people can qualify to receive coverage under it at one time, and even so, it will most likely run out of money.
This administration can barely afford to keep people alive on paper, why would it spend millions of additionally more for a program that condemns the unborn to death.

What is the Catholic Church’s teaching on paying taxes (or refusing to) when the taxes go to pay for abortion? Wouldn’t that make us complicit in a grave moral evil? I know the scripture about ‘render unto Caesar’ etc., but don’t we have solid religious grounds for refusing to fund this?
