Britain Too?… Obama Administration Turned Down British Offer to Help Clean Up Oil Spill

It wasn’t just the Netherlands who offered to help with the disaster.
Top officials in the British Cabinet offered assistance to help clean up the oil spill a few days after the explosion. The Obama Administration turned them down because they did not have the correct paperwork.
A month later and 18 US beaches may be ruined for decades including Plaquemines Parish, La.
The Times reported:
A high-level British offer of help to clean up the Gulf of Mexico oil spill was rebuffed by America shortly after the accident, fuelling fresh fears of political tension between the two countries over the disaster.
A few days after the BP-leased rig sank on April 22, the Cabinet Office made a direct offer to the US State Department to airlift half of Britain’s 1,200-tonne stockpile of chemical dispersants, The Times has learnt.
At the time there was an urgent demand for fresh supplies. The offer to provide the chemicals, at the cost price of £3 million, was made through diplomatic channels and via the Civil Contingency Secretariat, the Government’s emergency planning unit.
A spokeswoman for the Department of Energy and Climate Change, which was also involved in drafting the plan, said that the US had chosen not to accept the offer. Officials said the US claimed that the chemicals held in Britain did not have the correct paperwork.

Don’t lose steam with the congressionals, folks. The only way this lecturing dork doesn’t recoup some of this lost popularity by 2012 is if we have a strong showing in this year’s elections, and get some folks in play who will offer solid ideas in stark contrast to Professor Dickweed’s lame excuses.

He probably has environmentalists telling him to let it go for awhile, so all can prove how nasty oil is!
Yet, we are many years off from alternatives, with his bans on coal mining permits, now this, he going to prove his words of “skyrocketing” costs of energy for us!
The damage he is doing to our land of opportunity may not be reversed if we have to wait to 2012….he should be ushered out of D.C.!

Okay, this is getting a bit crazy. The beaches are not going to be ruined for decades. Scientists were amazed at how the area recovered just ten years after the Exxon Valdez, and you can expect the environment to recover even faster because it’s less concentrated than that accident. Second, oil floats and Lousisiana sweet floats really well. Because of this, approximately one-third of this oil is evaporating before it even hit the coast. The physical environment will recover a lot faster than the economic one if Obama keeps this up.

I hope they aren’t going to allow Obama and his criminal regime control the investigation of this. BP either. Comapring it to 9/11, makes me wonder if he knows something, that we instinctivly know. Obama knows many people who are familiar with terrorism, Bill Ayers being one in America. He is a Muslim, he told the President of Egypt that, and he has ties to members of the PLO, like Rashid Khalidi.
This is something out of Hugo Chavez playbook. We are going to look like East Germany during Hitler’s reign of terror if this man is not arrested. This was eco-terrorism.

Please open your eyes…it’s not hate they are talking about, it’s that Pres. Obama hasn’t a clue of how to run a country. When he got elected, I figured ‘there goes the country’. I figure we are in for a civil war again soon.
