Jay Sekulow from the American Center for Law and Justice told Sean Hannity tonight that if the Obama Administration does not come clean on the Sestak bribery scandal, and come clean quickly, this “Tempest in a Teapot” is about to blow. And, it could blow back on the Obama Administration and senior officials very significantly.

If this is true, and I suspect it is, then let it blow up in their faces.
NeoKong commented:
It stinks to high heaven.

Rahmbo will take the fall for this! He may have Chicago connections, but he is NOT part of Obama’s inner ideological circle like Jarret or the guy with the horrible comb-over…..Axelrod.
It is widely known that Rahmbo was only going to take the job for two years and then reenter the House as a Rep from Chicago area with the hope of becoming the Speaker of the House after Pelosi.
Rahmbo was on his way out anyway, so Obama will throw him under the bus, just like the rest of the junk he no longer has any use for. It’s all about him!

Nah, I’m too pessimistic. Zero & Co. just ignore questions, no matter who they’re from. They make their own rules. Nothing will happen. It’s not like Zero’s own justice dept would investigate!
smitty commented:
Roundup and snark here.

Jay is correct-however—

I think Pennsylvanians hear the Liberty Bell tolling on this one.
I believe what will come of this is that Republican Pat Toomey will defeat the Democrat Sestak in November. This is even too much for the heavily democrat state to take.
This will become the 10th U.S. Senate seat, that Republicans need, to take the Senate back from Democrats.
Remember:
The democrat Sestak has already admitted that “someone” in the Whitehouse offered him a job to get out of the senate race.
Either Sestak is going to have to fall on his sword, and take the fall for the Obama administration, and drop out of the senate race, or someone in the Whitehouse is going to have to lie for Obama, and take the fall and go to jail.
Either way, this is good news for conservatives and the Republicans.

Rahmbo (twinkle toes) will get his own deal, a nice stay at a club fed. He does his time knowing he took the hit for his beloved leader.
This bribery ordeal has more merit to be investigated than the arizona law. Where is the special prosecuter. What clinton did was insignificant to what is alleged in this case.
myohmy commented:
Sestak is banking that this little scandal can elect him to the senate. Dems have no shame.
jerryl commented:
lets see obamao owns the DOJ CONGRESS AND SENATE and the lame stream media nope dont see nothing happening here
Estragon commented:
Another self-inflicted wound. A quick handling of this could have averted any problems: Rahm comes out, says he talked with Sestak, did discuss SecNav or whatever position, but that Sestak misunderstood if he thought there was a quid pro quo. Sestak says, “Yeah, I might have misconstrued the offer and overreacted.” Move along folks, nothing to see here . . .
But stonewalling for this long creates the impression they have something to hide. If the above scenario played out now, no one would believe it. Maybe not enough to indict anyone, but more damage for the sinking Obama Administration and damage to Sestak’s chances.
ocripe commented:
Kickbacks, bribery and extortion are GROUNDS FOR IMPEACHMENT. Will anyone else step forward and disclose. I’m sure dozens have been threatened, bribed, and given special treatment of value for favors.
Impeach. No more talk. Impeach.
Bill Mitchell commented:
Obama’s problem here is that many in his party want to run away from him here and the MSM is pissed for his ignoring of them. The political cover he would have had a year ago doesn’t exist.
Yes, if this blows up, he may be in trouble.
And when the smoke clears, we can thank him for single-handedly destroying the progressive movement in America.
BigAlSouth commented:
It’s the cover-up, stupid. . .
BTW, what makes you think that it was Rham E? Axelrod came out with the most lame response saying it didn’t happen. And if it did, it wasn’t a bribe..
wolfwalker commented:

[yawn] I’ll believe it when I see it. For as long as I can remember, conservative bloggers and commentators have been touting stories like this with confident predictions of liberal-damaging blowback. Hasn’t happened yet. Not even once. Liberals can do anything they want, in complete confidence that they’ll get away with it.
jomojava commented:
Don’t hold your breath that anything at all will happen with this.
To Sultan Obama and his partners in crime, bribery is a basic part of being.
HandyBill commented:
Grounds for impeachment. It must be done now. Get the ball rolling.
HandyBill commented:
As with Nixon, the coverup will be worse than the offense.
Chip Bennett commented:
So, where are all of the Valerie Plame hypocrites?
In that case, no federal law was actually broken, as she was not “undercover” and could therefore, by definition, not be “outed”. However, every Liberal and his brother wanted Bush, Cheney, Rove, and everyone else in the Administration impeached over the ordeal.
Of course, as it turned out, Armitage – completely unconnected to the White House – was the “leaker”, and Scooter Libby became the scalp demanded by Liberals, when he was convicted of obstruction/perjury (a tenuous charge itself).
Now, on the other hand, we have actual evidence of actual Federal law being broken, by actual White House personnel. And the PlameGate hypocrites are… silent.
Not that I’m surprised.
Joe P commented:
If Obama were a Republican, he would be in seclusion even as we speak, as the media await his resignation. As it is, as others have suggested, this story will die quietly. I hope I’m wrong.
kansas commented:
My money is on this going nowhere.
Radegunda commented:
Obummer said that journalists can ask him questions but he “doesn’t have to answer them.” Which is like saying that he doesn’t have to answer to the citizens. Plus, the journalistic establishment won’t be interested in asking the questions anyway. Obummer is not likely to be held accountable for anything, ever—except by being voted out.
Old One commented:
The Chicago Way is on display. Nothing will happen to the miscreants. Ask the Clintons, Geithner, Daschle, Rangel,, Pelosi, & Dingy Harry about consequences for their lies, shady financial futures trades, fraudulent land deals, & tax lapses. Nothing will happen
The leftist apdog corrupt lamestream media will cover for the obumunists. Sestak will be elected to the Senate. The SEIU, AFCSME, and Acorn will make sure of that.
Oh Yeah Daley will be brought to Pennsylvania to count ACORN delivered phony votes as the marxist media cheers.
archer52 commented:
Remember the rule. If no law enforcement agency investigates, no court takes up the case, no prosecutor thinks it a crime.
Then it isn’t a crime, just an “offense to nature” which means nothing except to the offended.
They control the system. Nothing will happen.
Stuart commented:
Remember, this is no longer a nation of laws, only a nation of lawyers. O bummer will side step this issue as he has all others because of who he is. Prosecuting an impeachable offense would make the Republicans into…. say it with me boys and girls…. RACISTS!!!!
And as for the Dems? Rule of law? You must be joking.
Phil commented:
There’s an unconfirmed rumor (oh how I wish you could confirm it!) that Jimmy Carter asked Obama to ship David Adelman to Singapore (as Ambassador) so that Adelman’s position in the GA State Senate would be open for Jimmy’s son, Jason.
