Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) destroyed Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) on FOX News Sunday. Ryan brought his own chart to show the massive new debt from this horrible bill. The bill means at least $376 billion in new spending federal spending and will raise taxes and premiums. Wasserman-Schultz was left dumbfounded.

The clip starts out with liberal Wasserman-Schultz, who is Jewish, lecture Paul Ryan, a Catholic, on Catholic Church doctrine:

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) said during her appearance on “Fox News Sunday” that democrats don’t have a hard 216 votes right now.

More… Michelle Malkin posted the schedule for today. Expect the two big votes to bankrupt the country and issue in socialized medicine to come up around 6:40 PM EST. Twitter updates predict voting around 9 PM EST.

  1. I can’t believe that the dems put such a lightweight up against Ryan. Especially one that talks like she has marbles in her mouth.

  2. Well, by all accounts it appears that wasserman shultz will have the last word and dems will pass this monster of a bill : ( BTW pro-life dems seem to be only that when their votes don’t matter, other than that they will sacrifice principle for a dem victory…

  3. From the NY Times no less.

The Real Arithmetic of Health Care Reform

  4. Wow! That video started slow, getting mired in all the abortion controversy.

Then half way through Ryan kicked ass!

I’d chop off that abortion stuff from the video, to make it more punchy.

  5. D.- Fla. It figures…
President Obama at the health summit- pwned!
    Rep. Slaughter, yesterday- pwned!
    Rep. Schultz, today- pwned!
Ryan has been on fire these last weeks.

  6. Just read on Hot Air that Stupak says they are close to a deal… he will cave! So much for standing up for one’s principles.

  7. Stagecoaches> Buggy whips> Victorolas> Ice boxes> BetaMax> Obamacare

  8. Why couldn’t we have Ryan/Bachman for our next GOP Ticket?

How do we constantly get buffooons like McCain when we have real sharp talent out there?

This guy could wipe the floor with just about anyone with”FACTS”.

That idiot was a Pelosi study…None of them can speak with clarity because they are in a perpetual lie!

  9. The cream rises to the top. Paul Ryan is proving himself to be extremely impressive.

  10. Freedom So Willingly Relinquished

What if Barack Obama were not President, and Democrats did not control Congress. Would liberals be so willing to give the federal government this sweeping power?

The answer to that question is so plainly obvious that it should give pause even to those so infected with Obamamania that they have lost the ability to reason.

Liberals shouldn’t wish too hard for the mandate, because they just may get it. Freedom, once relinquished, is very hard to get back.

  11. Bachmann/Ryan

    Ryan/Bachmann

They are two of our most courageous and honest public servants.

    They’d win w/ 80% of the vote!

  12. Paul Ryan is great, I love that Republicans are using him more as a spokesperson.

How sad is it, that Chris Wallace on a show from a supposedly conservative news organization, would preface a question about the cost of Obamacare by citing the bogus $138 billion in savings number touted on Thursday by Democrats. They should be the ones exposing the hypocrisy of that number, it shouldn’t only be up to Republicans to make the case. It’s a fraud and that is what the media should be reporting on.

  13. Ryan is as tough as they come, but I would have liked to see W-S’s retort after Ryan showed the chart. (By the way, I’m told she gets many compliments on the hyphen). Her comment about the nuns was really lame. No one said nuns don’t have the right to speak out, but the Bishops (and ultimately the Bishop of Rome) decide church policy. That’s just the way it is.

  14. The audacity of this woman…..! Yes, in the US we all have the right to freedom of speech. However, these “nuns” were outed as frauds, along with every one of these other “Catholic” groups (thanks Mr. Hoft!).

Ryan is correct, as usual, and wipes the floor with this stooge. BTW – love the “Perot” charts!! Ryan is an excellent example of why we should NOT kick ‘em all out! He ROCKS!

The bishops, unfortunately, DID say in their letter that they “consider health care a right” but they are against this bill because it allows federal dollars to fund abortions. They are the authority and speak for the Church. Period.

Paul Ryan correctly states, as well, that an executive order is as easily written as the next one; Obama is not beyond writing another one to cancel this pseudo-fix once he gets a bill signed into law. Or, changing his mind once he signs the bill. These Dems will have sold their souls for nothing.

Bottom-feeders. Filthy statists. We will NOT quit until each of you who votes YES is removed from office; November is coming, and we WON’T forget!

  15. Ok my husband and I have tried everything to stop the solcialization of America. Faxes, emails, telephone calls and Tea Party Protests in DC and CT.
Nothing has worked they care nothing about what the majority of Americans want. THEY DO NOT REPRESENT US AT ALL!!!!!
Time to get up and yell out your window, I’m not going to take this anymore. Time to get up and tell the main stream media they have FAILED Miserably and we will bring them down!!!!!
It is time to protect American values, hardwork, individual liberty, personal responsibility and FREEDOM. Time to take account of yourself. Do you want to be taken care of or do want to take care of yourself? What the government gives the government can take away. My rights come from God not government!!!
My God what has happened to us???? Where the hell are all the freedom loving dems? Why have you left me??

  16. The very fact that Stupak is talking to BO – trusting him – tells me all I need to know about him.

But I knew that anyway. Anyone with a measure of integrity would have bailed on that party years ago.

Instead, the Republicans have Paul Ryan. What an incredible servant of the people he is. Can’t hear enough from him.

  17. Wasserman-Schultz’s personal health battles were once an exclusive story on Fox News Sunday. She had/has breast cancer.
In that story of a year and a half ago, Wasserman-Schultz explained that she prefers to keep her health affliction private, as it is personal and really no one else’s business.

Today she broke that personal rule, making a point to telling of how she is one of our country’s millions of women who suffer from breast cancer.

The Democrats are all about posturing and victimhood. Yesterday it was nobody’s business. Now that there is a national debate over socializing health care, it’s a point she underlines.

But at least Wasserman-Schultz is consistent in her audacity. She is a Jewish woman who lectured Ryan, a practicing Catholic, on his own faith.

Where do these Democrats get the nerve? Can’t we give them some planet of their own that they can destroy?

  18. I watch C-Span quite often, we sure have some great Republicans pulling no punches:

    http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/03/steve-king-calls-for-revolution-in-the-streets-of-washington-to-stop-health-care-bill.php
Rep. Steve King (R-IA) is calling for a new procedural solution to stop the health care bill: Have an angry mob of citizens storm Washington and prevent Congress from acting, in imitation of the Velvet Revolution that overthrew communist rule in Czechoslovakia!
The Huffington Post interviewed King after his speech at today’s “Code Red” anti-health care bill rally, a speech in which he called upon the crowd to “Storm this city, fill up Washington D.C., jam this capital so they can’t move.”
Speaking to the Huffington Post shortly after his speech, King declared that a peaceful uprising, a la the successful overthrowing of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia on the streets of Prague in 1989 “would be fine with me.”
“Fill this city up, fill this city, jam this place full so that they can’t get in, they can’t get out and they will have to capitulate to the will of the American people,” he said.
“So this is just like Prague under communist rule?” the Huffington Post asked.
“Oh yeah, it is very, very close,” King replied. “It is the nationalization of our liberty and the federal government taking our liberty over. So there are a lot of similarities there.”

  19. Ryan doesn’t control the vote so this really doesn’t make me feel better. Actually, It makes me feel 10 times worse.

The leadership should have been in front of news stations screaming screaming screaming. Do they think they actually get put on tv, willingly unless they calls someone a name. Nahhhhh.

They need to work harder and haven’t. Knowing someone is smarter and seeing that demonstrated are different things. Most people still think we don’t have a plan.
