Former Detroit City Council President Monica Conyers was just sentenced to 37 months in prison. She is the wife of Far Left Representative John Conyers.

Just moments ago in federal court, former Detroit City Council President Monica Conyers was sentenced to 37 months in prison for her roll in the city hall scandal.

Now we all know what has happened to the once great city of Detroit. This is a shame, yet we learn that the once great city of Milwaukee had its police department refuse to arrest people for election fraud. And the once great city of Los Angeles is flat broke, and I could go on and on. We’re screwed.

[But things didn't stop with the synagro bribery scandal. Monica's corruption extended much further than just that one incident. Another corrupt action that she was involved in brought other prominent Democrats in Michigan into the picture, including hubby John, Governor Granholm, MI Dem party chairman Mark Brewer, and Debbie Stabenow. Ever since Monica Conyers became a convicted felon, a big chunk of the the most powerful Michigan Democrats have been somehow connected to the growing scandal. Husband John Conyers somehow wrote a letter to the EPA to open toxic deep wells that he vehemently opposed, which was a boost to Jim Pappas who was bribing Monica for the favor. In the middle was Monica Conyers advisor Sam Riddle, now awaiting a second trial. In addition, Pappas hired U.S. Sen Debbie Stabenow's husband, Tom Athens, to illegally lobby for the same deal, all the while Stabenow publicly came out against Canadian trash imports, including those that were to be injected into said wells. Conyers advisor Riddle, still awaiting his fate, was paid a cool $50,000 in hush money to not say "anything bad" about Granholm during the 2006 gubernatorial election by the MI Democrat Party (Mark Brewer). What exactly Riddle had on Granholm is not known. Once that news broke, Granholm's mouthpiece Liz Boyd came out swinging, and Riddle was forced to back down on the air.]

Interesting, My father in law and I were just talking about this very thing. We are stockpiled and armored up. The hoods will hit the streets wanting thier “share” of the pie that they did not earn. It’s coming as the States and the Fed are failing due to the “stimulus” monies running out. Figured it would last till just about after the November elections. Then the poop hits the fan hard. Indeed I am. Gotta be honest and admit that Obama becoming president has made a big change in my personal life. Prior to our national misfortune I figured I could protect myself and my home without a firearm. With Dear Leader’s election I realized that was no longer a viable option and I became motivated to own some hardware. I’ve done so and will continue to do so. I do not see how this ends well, as so many have become adult wards of the state. Once the money isn’t there anymore, things are going to get awfully awfully ugly. This is of course only my opinion.

I came about to the firearms scene too because of politics. This was in 1999. This is way worse now. Stock up on lots of ammo and food. Training is a good thing to get too. Prepared and not needed is O.K. Unprepared and needing is a bad combo. I live in a state with a huge welfare and entitlement population.
Smash and grabs and home invasions are already up. My police friends tell me this is getting worse.

That’s the best description of Detroit I have heard in decades! And that’s coming from someone who used to live there. Detroit is in very sad shape, and it is all due to extremely poor management, to put it kindly.

I left Detroit when Coleman Young told us to hit eight mile. No one will ever ( unless you lived there )know how great a city Detroit used to be.
Sean Hannity had a caller today that really brought it into focus for me. He said that Detroit’s troubles were caused by white flight, although he meant it as a slam on white people, he inadvertantly laid the problem at the feet of the Black leadership, that OVER SAW the very rapid descent in Ghetto hood of a once great city. The fact that they are all Demoncraps proves that the enemies of prosperity and well being are all Demoncraps.
