Nancy Pelosi announced today that Democrats have enough votes to pass health care.

    Of course she has the votes. Dems outnumber Republicans by over seventy seats. Don’t let the fact that close to forty Dems voted against the bill before. They had permission to vote no and she can call on them if she needs them.
    You have to keep in mind that they really want this bill to pass it’s just that those pesky voters keep getting in the way. If it wasn’t for the public outcry the bill would be law by now.
    None of those Dem no voters have the courage, the will or the desire to publicly denounce the bill or they would have done so by now.
    Pelosi has too much invested in this to let it go down. Even the thought of losing her speakership won’t stop her. To pass that bill she would risk it. It’s not like she needs the money. If millions of people protesting outside her office window couldn’t persuade her then neither will Scott Brown’s election.

    December 2009?
    January 2010 just because she claims to have the votes and 3rd time is the charm?

    More likely, Obama insisted on saying in his speech tonight that he is pushing ahead on health care legislation. So Pelosi sets his stage in the nick of time before the address begins with her claim to have the necessary votes.

    Take the President at his word. Has everyone forgotten how president Clinton parsed words?
    Obama said he would change tactics. This is part of that change. Not clear what the exact deception is but I know obummer or Nazi palosi cannot be trusted to do anything for Americas benefit.
