Watch Medical School Dean’s Struggle During Congressional Hearing When Asked Who Can Have Babies (VIDEO)

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

The leaders of two medical schools were questioned this week during the House Hearing on DEI in medicine. It was off the rails.

Both men struggled to answer when asked what type of people can have babies. These men are teaching a whole new generation of doctors and they can’t give a straight answer on basic biological facts.

This is everything that’s wrong with higher education in a nutshell.

Transcript via Legal Insurrection:

Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL): Dr. Hawgood, UCSF’s [University of – San Francisco] classroom guide titled “Framework for Gender and Sex Concepts in Teaching” advises against using the term “pregnant women. Instead, it says to use “pregnant people.”

Who are pregnant people compared to pregnant women? Just curious.

Dr. Sam Hawgood, Chancellor of UCSF: So that is a part of a curriculum to help our students who are facing a wide diversity of patients. Of course, the vast majority of pregnancies are in women, and I have absolutely no problem with using the word “pregnant women.” I use it myself.

Miller: Has a non-biological woman ever had a baby?

Hawgood: A person can.

Miller: That’s not a biological woman. Has a non-biological woman ever had a baby?

Hawgood: I would reiterate…

Miller: No. It’s ridiculous.

Here’s another incredible clip from the same hearing.

This is happening because people in academia are absolutely terrified of the left. They’re afraid that if they don’t affirm the left’s world view, that an angry mob will show up at their office.

Until that changes, higher education will continue to have these problems.
