The radical, far-left Marxists running the National Education Association (NEA) have completely lost their minds.
At their annual convention in Portland, Oregon this week, the National Education Association adopted new business items demanding the impeachment, conviction, and removal of President Donald Trump from office. They are also calling for a “National March on Washington D.C. to remove Trump before the November 2026 midterm election,” at an estimated cost of $5,236,193 in union dues.
School choice advocate Corey A. DeAngelis obtained the internal documents and broke the story on X, exposing the radical agenda the NEA apparently hoped to keep quiet.
According to the New Business Item 10 proposed by the NEA:
The National Education Association (NEA) will call for the impeachment, conviction, and removal of Donald Trump from the US Presidency. We the NEA will call for a National March on Washington D.C. to remove Trump before the November 2026 midterm elections and call on unions and other progressive organizations to join us in taking action to protect democracy and defend public education.
Rationale
Trump’s party is expected to lose these midterms badly and attempt to call out his MAGA mob for another coup attempt like January 6th to overturn these results and prevent paralysis of his authoritarian agenda by Congress and certain states.
Cost Implications
This item cannot be accomplished with current staff and resources under the proposed 2026-2027 Strategic Plan and Budget. It would cost an additional $5,236,193.

The anti-Trump resolution was not the only overtly political measure advanced by the nation’s largest teachers’ union.
The NEA also approved a measure directing its president to send a letter to the Congressional Black Caucus introducing NEA Resolution I-62, “Educational Reparations,” and to discuss what the union describes as the “enormous impact” the proposal would have on Black Americans.

Rationale
If Educational Reparations were passed it would immediately reduce student loan debt, create equitable funding for HBCU’s and support African American/Black students in special education programs. In addition, it would eliminate property-tax-based education funding models.
