(VIDEO) Trump Defends Lion King Obama Monkey Meme when Asked by Reporter if He Fired or Disciplined Staffer

revealed on Thursday that he did not cave to the Left’s cancel culture and fire the staffer who posted a snippet of a clip depicting Michelle and Barack Obama as monkeys in a Truth Social post.

The controversy arose last week, when a clip from Trump’s Truth Social page was skewed out of context, which sparked outrage among RINOs and Democrats, as well as calls for the staffer who posted the clip to be fired.

The screen-recorded clip shared by Trump exposed the voter fraud in Michigan’s 2020 election. At the end of the recording, the video autoplays a meme that fittingly depicts the Obamas as characters in an AI-generated Lion King video.

However, the Truth Social post sparked outrage from the Democrats and even some virtue-signaling RINOs who called on Trump to terminate the staffer.

Senator Tim Scott even jumped on the bandwagon, decrying Trump for “the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House” and demanding the President delete the post.

Karoline Leavitt initially responded to the triggered libs, telling reporters, “Stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”

Trump was asked about the incident and whether he fired the staffer on Thursday, and he doubled down, telling reporters that the video simply “had a little piece and had to do with the Lion King,” and had been “all over the place many times.”

Reporter: Mr. President, have you fired or disciplined that staffer who posted the video from your account that included the Obamas?

Trump: No, I haven’t. That was a video on, as you know, voter fraud, a fairly long video, and they had a little piece and had to do with the Lion King. It’s been very well. It’s been shown all over the place long before that was posted. But that was a, that was a very strong, if you, and I’m sure you saw it, a very strong piece on voter fraud. And the piece that you’re talking about was all over the place many times, I believe, for years.

Previously, Trump stood his ground and refused to apologize when pressed by a reporter, stating, “I didn’t make a mistake.” He continued, “It was a take on The Lion King.”
