Several House Democrats were left red-faced after their scheme to humiliate ICE blew up in their faces.
On Saturday, Minnesota Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempted to enter the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis. As KMSP notes, the Whipple Building is a federal facility that houses the regional ICE headquarters in Minnesota and immigration court.

The congresswomen were eventually allowed a brief entry into the Whipple building, but soon received an unpleasant surprise.
Omar revealed on X that she and other members were denied entry to the ICE processing center located in the building and kicked out.
“I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building,” Omar whined. “Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.”
“The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.”

KMSP confirmed Omar’s story of being forced out of the building.
Craig went on MSNOW following their humiliation and explained why they could not enter the facility and were forced to leave.
She also accused the stferres of refusing to follow the law.
“We were told because this facility is being funded by the ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’ not the congressional appropriations act, that we would not be allowed to enter the facility,” Craig told MSNOW.
“That’s complete nonsense, she added. “I informed them they were violating the law. They said they didn’t care.”

Morrison also said Trump’s Big, Beautiful bill was the reason they could not visit the ICE processing center.
