In case you haven’t heard, the painfully unfunny ‘Late Night With Stephen Colbert’ show has been cancelled by CBS. What a shame.
Colbert has not been funny in years. He took a show that used to be produced for the enjoyment of the whole country and used it as a vehicle for his personal and pathological hatred of Trump.
Colbert made it a habit to invite various Democrats on the show on a regular basis, just for the purpose of bashing Trump. One of those regular guests was Elizabeth Warren. She has appeared on the show numerous times and you could tell that Colbert just loves her.
This is one of the reasons millions of Americans stopped watching, which probably made cancelling the show an easier decision.
Within hours of the announcement, Warren took to Twitter/X and began pushing a conspiracy theory about all of this, suggesting that the decision to pull Colbert is political, and is about the upcoming CBS merger deal. She even calls it a “bribe.”
See below:
CBS canceled Colbert’s show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump – a deal that looks like bribery.
America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons.

CNN’s Brian Stelter also jumped on this bandwagon tonight during an appearance with Anderson Cooper. Watch:
CNN and Stelter are very worked up about Colbert getting canned by CBS:
“This looks to a lot of Colbert's fans like another form of capitulation by CBS to the President of the United States!" pic.twitter.com/CvCAcsRXpH

Adam Schiff, another frequent Colbert guest also pushed this conspiracy theory:
Just finished taping with Stephen Colbert who announced his show was cancelled.
If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better.

Democrats know a good thing when they’ve got it. Colbert was very useful to them by giving them an opportunity to go on late night TV over and over again. They’ll always have Jimmy Kimmel, right?
