McCarthy Appoints Members to Select Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government – Here’s the List

Jim Jordan

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday appointed members to the select subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government.

“The government has a responsibility to serve the American people, not go after them,” McCarthy said. “Unfortunately, throughout Democrats’ one-party rule in Washington we saw a dangerous pattern of the government being used to target political opponents while they neglected their most basic responsibilities.”

Jim Jordan will be chairman of the the committee.

Here’s the list:

“We have a duty to get into these agencies and look at how they have been weaponized to go against the very people they’re supposed to represent, how they have infringed on First Amendment liberties of the American people. And we’re going to do that,” Jim Jordan recently said on Fox News Sunday. “We’re going to do it in a way that’s consistent with the Constitution. But we’re going to do it vigorously. We’re going to do it aggressively. Because that’s our job.”

Congressman Jordan went off on Democrats over the government weaponization from the House floor earlier this month.

Jim Jordan blasted Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler and Merrick Garland.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday also officially rejected the appointments of Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell for the House Intelligence Committee.

“I am committed to returning the House Intel Committee to one of genuine honesty and credibility that regains the trust of the American people,” McCarthy said.
