Unvetted Afghan Evacuees Cause NEARLY $260 MILLION in Damages at US Military Bases in Their Expression of Gratitude for Saving Them from Taliban Horde

In August 2021, Joe Biden turned over Afghanistan to the Taliban terrorists and armed them with $80 billion in US weapons. It was the greatest transfer of weapons to an enemy force in world  history.

At the same time, 13 American servicemen and women were murdered by a terrorist after Biden put US troops in an impossible situation with an impossible mission. The US military knew about the potential for the bombing prior to the attack.

The Biden regime and international teams evacuated over 100,000 Afghans from Kabul before the US military fled Kabul. Thousands of Americans and green card holders still remain in Afghanistan to this day.

According to previous Gateway Pundit reports from military sources on the ground at the time, Joe Biden was not vetting any of the Afghans who were fleeing the country.

US Marine on the Ground in Kabul Says Biden Admin Filled Planes with Unvetted Afghans – Those with Papers were Left Behind — NY Times Confirms Afghans Were Unvetted

According to US Marines on the ground in Kabul at the time of departure, via Caz from The Raid Team Co., the military was not even checking the names of Afghans they were loading into planes out of Afghanistan.

US Marines on the ground at the time said the Biden regime only wanted the numbers for propaganda purposes and did not vet the Afghans flying out of Kabul.

This was the plan all along.  And Jen Psaki and the Biden regime then bragged about how many Afghans they rescued from Kabul omitting the fact that these people were not vetted and that it was a mad dash to the planes to get out.

In October 2021, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) posted an email from an American on the ground in Afghanistan during the disastrous exit who insists there was NO vetting of the Afghans they were loading on the planes to come to America.

The Taliban was put in charge of vetting the Afghans who they allowed to enter the airport perimeter.  Lord only knows who they allowed to pass through to the planes.

And these Afghans showed their support to our American military by trashing their bases and causing almost $260 million in damages.

The Daily Wire reported:

U.S. military bases that hosted Afghan evacuees during the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan incurred almost $260 million in damages, according to the Department of Defense’s inspector general.

The damages, which made some of the facilities not usable for American soldiers, came as the U.S. airlifted 120,000 individuals from Afghanistan in 17 days. Defense Department officials approved $259.5 million in repairs and restoration costs across Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine properties, according to an inspector general report made publicly available this week.

During the Afghanistan withdrawal, evacuees were temporarily allowed to stay at Fort Bliss, Texas; Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey; Fort McCoy, Wisconsin; Camp Atterbury, Indiana; Fort Pickett, Fort Lee, and Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia; and Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico.

The Army entities with the most damages were: Fort McCoy ($145 million), Fort Pickett ($26 million), and Camp Atterbury ($15 million).

Fort Lee needed $632,000 to repair ceiling tiles, doors, and electric systems while Fort Pickett received funds for cleaning, painting, and repairing HVAC systems, and plumbing. At Fort McCoy, the majority of the damages were found at the 213 buildings housing Afghan refugees. The report says that some of the costs at Fort McCoy may stem from problems before the refugees came.
