President Trump on Saturday endorsed GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz for Florida’s 1st Congressional District.
“Rep Matt Gaetz is a relentless Fighter for the incredible people of Florida’s 1st Congressional District!” Trump said on Saturday on his Truth Social page.
“Matt is a Champion of our MAGA Agenda, who tirelessly works to Drain the Swamp, Secure the Border, Support our Brave Veterans and Law Enforcement, Defend the Second Amendment, Stand Up to the Woke Mob, and Fight the Never-Ending Witch Hunts from the Radical Left that are destroying our Country!” Trump added.
“Matt Gaetz puts America First, and he has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Trump said.
Matt Gaetz, a staunch ally of President Trump, has represented Florida’s 1st Congressional District since 2017.
Trump is right.
Matt Gaetz is a relentless fighter and he isn’t afraid to stand up to the radical left.
Recall a lefty reporter recently asked Gaetz about his comments criticizing women who attend pro-abortion rallies.
“Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions?” Gaetz said during a speech at a TPUSA event last month. “Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb.”
“These people are odious! They’re like 5’2″, 350 pounds and they’re like ‘give me my abortion’” Gaetz said.
The left immediately attacked Matt Gaetz for his ‘disgusting and misogynistic’ comments.
A reporter confronted Gaetz about his comments: “Is it safe to say that, based off your comments, you’re suggesting that these women at these abortion rallies are ugly and overweight?”
“Yes,” Gaetz said.
“What do you say to people who think those comments are offensive?” the reporter asked in a follow-up question.
“Be offended,” Gaetz said with a straight face.
