Capitol Police Interrogated AOC Heckler After Pressure From Democrat House Leadership

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had an epic meltdown Wednesday after she was heckled by comedian Alex Stein on the Capitol steps. Ocasio-Cortez wrote that she wanted to “deck” Stein. Later she spoke to a reporter and posted a streaming video about the incident where she accused Capitol Police officers of conspiring with the January 6th rioters.

Politico’s Nicholas Wu posted a statement by the Capitol Police issued Thursday stating police stopped Stein and did a criminal background check on him. Stein was not arrested because he did not break the law by heckling Ocasio-Cortez and he had no warrants for his arrest.

“Here’s what the Capitol Police had to say about last night’s incident with @AOC: “…The comments, although inappropriate, are not criminal. In the video, the man never threatened or touched the Congresswoman…” Say they stopped him and ran his info too:”

Ocasio-Cortez replied to Wu, saying police rousted Stein after pressure from her and House (Democrat) leadership, “FYI we had to escalate to House leadership to get them to stop him and run his info. They did not until members intervened and pressed them to.”

The triggering incident:

Ocasio-Cortez retweeted a comment by a Democrat activist that compared her being heckled with a recent death threat by an armed man outside the home of Rep. Pramila Jayapal, “It really says a lot about how media works in this country that this shameful incident and the death threats made against Pramila will together receive a tiny fraction of the coverage garnered by Kavanaugh’s steak dinner.”

Even though she was triggered, Ocasio-Cortez had the presence of mind to record a selfie video with Stein in the background right after the traumatic heckling.

Ocasio-Cortez spoke to a liberal reporter about the incident, accusing Capitol Police of working with the January 6th rioters.

Ocasio-Cortez attacked police again in an Instagram streaming video Wednesday night.

Ocasio-Cortez blocked Stein on Twitter Wednesday night, doing online what she the Constitution forbids her from doing in real life but what she so desperately wants the federal government to do to those her mock her.
