Apothesis of King Louis IX of France in Forest Park, namesake of St. Louis – photo by Jim Hoft
Jim Hoft, the Gateway Pundit, called for a public Rosary earlier this week at the statue titled “Apotheosis of St. Louis” in Forest Park on Friday night.
The prayer vigil was organized for the Supreme Court in its monumental decision in the Dobbs case that could overturn the demonic Roe v. Wade decision.

A Supreme Court clerk leaked a draft decision of the majority opinion in this case last week. That draft, along with subsequent leaks from the same source, indicates that a 5-4 majority of the court favors overturning Roe v. Wade—a decision so rotten even Ruth Bader Ginsberg criticized its reasoning.
Since then, leftists have fire-bombed pro-life offices, intimidated Supreme Court justices, threatened to desecrate the Holy Eucharist, defiled Catholic churches, and called for armed insurrection.
In 2020 when local radical leftists attempted to remove the Statue of St. Louis and rename the city, Christians were attacked, beaten, and knocked out by violent leftist goons who had plotted their attacks.
On Friday night, when local Christians and Catholics arrived at the prayer vigil, the street was blocked off. Christians were forced to park near the zoo and walk at least a quarter-mile to get to the statue.

Police told the participants that the street was blocked off due to the prayer vigil. Imagine that! So they blocked the street off for the vigil.
Despite this, several Catholics attended the prayer vigil on Friday.
Here are some of the photos from yesterday’s prayer vigil:
