Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday caved to Joe Biden and said he would agree to a debt limit increase through December.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday filed cloture to end debate and the senate voted Thursday evening.
The Senate voted 61-38 to end debate and advance the debt limit increase bill.
The US Senate then held a final vote on raising the debt limit after voting to end debate.
A simple majority was required.
The Senate voted 50-48 to raise the debt limit by $480 billion.
But this still wasn’t good enough for Chuck Schumer.
Schumer shouted from the senate floor late Wednesday evening and blasted Republicans.
Democrat Senator Joe Manchin was seen burying his head in his hands as Schumer went on an unhinged tirade.

According to Punch Bowl News, Manchin told Schumer his shouting speech from the Senate floor after the debt limit vote was “f*cking stupid.”
Senator Thune also confronted Schumer on the floor and told him his speech was out of line.
