Despite a threat issued Friday by the Trump-hating Lincoln Project to dog the campaign of Republican candidate for Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin with more appearances by Tiki torch bearing Democrats after Friday’s debacle in Charlottesville where the group, working with Virginia Democrat activists, sent a Black man as part of a “White supremacist” false flag operation targeting Youngkin, no sightings of Tiki torches were seen at a huge early morning Youngkin rally in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
Who did show up was hundreds of fired-up Youngkin supporters for an 8 a.m. rally in deep blue Alexandria, Virginia Saturday. The turnout confirms what local observers have been reporting for weeks of a surge in Youngkin campaign signs popping in the Democrat stronghold.

Went to Alexandria, VA for lunch today and saw A LOT of Youngkin signs—that is, many more than I would’ve predicted.
The plural of yard sign [sightings] is not data, of course, so do with that anecdotal evidence as you please. 🤷🏼♀️

We (@debrajsaunders et al.) told you about the Youngkin signs in Arlington and Alexandria. Weeks ago. You gotta be on the ground sometimes.

I said this before, but – I have lived in Old Town for over five years now. This year is the first time I have *ever* seen yard signs for *any* Republican – and there were / are a LOT of @GlennYoungkin signs.

Reporters, locals and the Youngkin campaign all agreed on the surprisingly strong turnout:

Youngkin’s arrival in three parts. Lots of loud cheering, no sign of Tiki torch carrying Democrats.

In Old Town Alexandria and neighboring Fairfax County, long lines for the last day of early voting:
The early voting line in Old Town Alexandria, VA, right down the street from my house, is the longest I’ve ever seen it. Many voters are congregating around the @VA_GOP table near the polling location.
The @GlennYoungkin, @WinsomeSears, @JasonMiyaresVA movement is amazing!

Two hours after #earlyvoting sites opened today, the line at the Fairfax County Government Center has grown. Yesterday, we had a record 1,200 voters cast ballots here. This is the last day to #voteearly!#VAGov #VAGovernor #VALeg #VAelections2021 pic.twitter.com/7NCrqt0zM2

Meanwhile, at the other end of the state, flailing Democrat candidate for governor Terry McAuliffe rallied with a fewer than two dozen teachers from the education establishment.
I'm here in Hampton Roads with some amazing teachers and parents getting ready to go out and knock some doors. I've always stood with our teachers and, as governor, I'll raise teacher pay ABOVE the national average for the first time in the history of VA. Let's do this. 💪 pic.twitter.com/mzPRhFHWq2
