‘I Didn’t Stop to Think About It’ – Whitmer ‘Apologizes’ After Getting Caught Violating Her Own Covid Orders at Lansing Dive Bar This Weekend

Breitbart News exclusively obtained a photo of Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer violating her own Covid orders at a Lansing dive bar this weekend.

Whitmer was hanging out at the Landshark in Lansing with a large group of friends, including her chief operations officer, Tricia Foster.

Whitmer’s own Covid guidelines issued on May 15 prohibit gatherings of that size:

Consumption of food or beverages is permitted only in a designated dining area where patrons are seated, groups of patrons are separated by at least 6 feet, no more than 6 patrons are seated together (at a table, booth, or group of fixed seats), and groups of patrons do not intermingle

Whitmer released a statement after getting caught violating her own Covid guidelines.

Gretchen Whitmer said she “didn’t stop to think” about the Covid restrictions she imposed on the peasants in Michigan and for that she ‘apologizes.’

“As more people arrived, the tables were pushed together. Because we were all vaccinated, we didn’t stop to think about it. In retrospect, I should have thought about it. I am human. I made a mistake, and I apologize,” Whitmer said.

So can everyone who was fined by Gretchen Whitmer use this as a defense?

A Michigan restaurant owner was jailed until she paid $7,500 and ordered to close shop last year for violating Whitmer’s Covid orders, but Whitmer can toss out a fake apology and go on with her life.

Gretchen Whitmer also vacationed to Florida during Michigan’s Covid-19 surge while telling Michiganders to stay home and avoid travel.

Whitmer specifically attacked Floridians and blamed “snow birds” traveling from the Sunshine State into Michigan for her state’s Covid surge.
