The National Pulse unearthed a 2010 video of Patrisse Cullors speaking on a panel on “Transformative Organizing Theory.”
Cullors excitedly recalled how a young person once said her book was like “Mao’s Red Book.”
“I was speaking to this young person from Arizona who’s trying to fight SB 1070, and he grabbed [my] book and he said, “It’s like Mao’s Red Book.” And I was like man, that’s what I was thinking, and it was just really cool to hear him make that connection,” Cullors said.
The Chinese were forced to carry around Chairman Mao’s “Little Red Book” and memorize the communist propaganda or face execution.
