Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Mocked For Trying To Redefine The Meaning Of ‘Infrastructure’

is trying to pass a multi-trillion dollar infrastructure bill that isn’t really about infrastructure.

As a result, Democrats are straining to redefine what counts as infrastructure.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York really pushed it.

Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said Wednesday morning on that child care, paid leave and caregiving are “infrastructure” in defense of President Joe Biden’s nearly $2 trillion infrastructure package.

“Paid leave is infrastructure,” the tweet said. “Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure.”
