Joe Biden on Thursday was asked by a reporter if he agreed with Obama that the filibuster is a ‘relic of the Jim Crow era.’
Biden replied, “Yes.”
The filibuster requires 60 votes to pass most legislation in the Senate. Getting rid of the filibuster would allow the Democrats to ram through far-left, extreme measures with a simple majority.
Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have embraced the filibuster as Senators, but all of a sudden it’s racist.
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy called out Joe Biden’s hypocrisy during a press briefing on Friday and Jen Psaki twisted herself into a pretzel trying to explain why the filibuster is now bad.
“The president said the filibuster is the legacy of the Jim Crow era, did he think that it was the legacy of the Jim Crow era in 2005 when he defended the filibuster?” Peter Doocy asked Psaki.
“It is allowing for systemic racism in the country. That’s the concern he was expressing,” Psaki said.
Psaki could have saved a lot of time and just said, “It’s only racist when the Republicans filibuster.”
