Afghan Muslims Say Prayer and Faith Will Protect them from Coronavirus

The Afghanistan health ministry confirmed the country’s first coronavirus case earlier this week. The infected individual had traveled to the Holy City of Qom in Iran.

Government Health Officials say the victim is from Herat. The ministry announced a state of emergency in Herat Province.

Afghan Muslims say faith, prayer and blessed leather tags with Koran verses will keep them safe and free from disease.
