Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin told 17-year-old Greta Thunberg to go to college and study economics after the Swedish teen called for immediate fossil fuel divestment.
Mnuchin was asked about Thunberg’s calls for private-sector divestment from fossil fuel companies and if it would threaten economic growth in the US.
“Is she the chief economist? Who is she, I’m confused” Mnuchin said before asserting that he was just joking.
“After she goes and studies economics in college she can come back and explain that to us,” Mnuchin said during a presser at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
And as expected, leftists are actually saying Greta Thunberg, an autistic teenager who suffers from a myriad of mental issues such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, Asperger syndrome and selective mutism, knows more than Steve Mnuchin.
Greta Thunberg‘s dad responded to Mnuchin and tweeted out a graph from a UN report showing how all of the world’s ‘carbon budget’ will be used up by 2027 unless the whole world bows to the climate change cult, gives away money in climate taxes and goes back to the dark ages.

Greta Thunberg then demanded Mnuchin tell the world “how to achieve this mitigation or explain to future generations” why we should “abandon our climate commitments.”
Because that sounds like a tweet a 17-year-old would post. *rolls eyes*
