Several people are reported to have been wounded in a knife attack on London Bridge in England Friday. Video purportedly from the incident shows the moment police subdued and shot the suspect. The man pulled away from the knifeman appears to be one of several civilians who intervened to stop the attack. Updates at end. Pollice confirm a “number” of people stabbed.

The Metropolitan Police have issued a statement on the attack, saying, “Police were called at 1:58pm to a stabbing at premises near to London Bridge. Emergency services attended, including officers from the Met and
@CityPolice. A man has been detained by police. We believe a number of people have been injured. Further info to follow.”

UPDATE on the man who disarmed the knifeman, “This man was walking behind us on the other side of London Bridge when the attack began. He ran through traffic and jumped the central partition to tackle the attacker with several others. We ran away but looks like he disarmed him. Amazing bravery”
