Twitter Removes Trump’s Nickelback Video After Copyright Complaint

Well, you can’t look at that photograph as Twitter has pulled President Trump’s post on Twitter.

“This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner,” Twitter wrote in pulling the tweet just hours after it was posted.

The short video clip showed a reporter asking 2020 candidate Joe Biden, “Have you ever spoken to your son about his overseas business dealings?” Biden says, “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

Then the clip cuts to a segment of a video by Nickelback, singing their hit 2005 song, “Photograph.”

“Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red?
And what the hell is on Joey’s head?”

In Trump’s version, the photograph is replaced by one taken in 2014 that shows both Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, on a golf course with Devon Archer, a colleague of Hunter’s who is labelled in the edit as a “Ukraine gas exec.”
“The copyright complaint was made by Warner Music Inc., according to information posted in the Lumen Database, a project that tracks copyright complaints,” CNN reported. “Warner Music Inc. is not connected to WarnerMedia, CNN’s parent company. A Twitter spokesperson told CNN Thursday the company responds to copyright complaints sent to them by a copyright owner or their authorized representatives.”
Biden has claimed he never talked to his son about his business dealings in Ukraine. Hunter says they talked at least once.
Hunter Biden made hundreds of thousands of dollars through his employment with Burisma, the largest private gas company in Ukraine — despite having no known qualifications for the job. And when word spread that a prosecutor was looking into the matter, then-Vice President Biden demanded that the prosecutor be fired.
Biden is on tape discussing his push for the Ukrainian government to fire Viktor Shokin, bragging he had threatened to withhold $1 billion until Shokin was canned. “If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,” he says he told Ukrainian leaders. “Well son of a bitch, he got fired,” Biden says with a smile in the video clip.
