Enes Kanter is a Turkish professional basketball player currently playing for the Boston Celtics.
Kanter became publicly critical of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2013 due to a corruption scandal in Turkey. After the failed coup d’état attempt in 2016, Kanter criticised Turkish president Erdoğan on Twitter, calling him the “Hitler of our century”.

On Monday night NBA superstar Lebron James spoke out in defense of the Chinese Communists. The NBA star trashed Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey for tweeting his support for Hong Kong freedom protesters. And then Lebron lectured on the perils of free speech.
