Pelosi also informed reporters she would be making an “announcement”, reported CBS News:
“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters she will be making an announcement after a caucus-wide meeting with House Democrats Tuesday, as more Democrats are voicing support for initiating impeachment proceedings against President Trump. They are pressing for an investigation of a call between Mr. Trump and the Ukrainian president during which Mr. Trump talked about former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.”
Pelosi is set to speak during the 2 o’clock hour at the Atlantic Festival. The meetings with Democrats start after that appearance. On Sunday Pelosi sent out a ‘Dear Colleague’ letter on the alleged whistleblower complaint that reads in part:
…If the Administration persists in blocking this whistleblower from disclosing to Congress a serious possible breach of constitutional duties by the President, they will be entering a grave new chapter of lawlessness which will take us into a whole new stage of investigation.”
