Michelle Malkin to Headline Pro-ICE Rally on Friday Protesting Sanctuary Montgomery County, MD After 8 Illegal Aliens Charged with Rape in Past Month

Conservative icon Michelle Malkin will headline a pro-ICE rally Friday in Montgomery County, Maryland calling out the sanctuary county for protecting illegal aliens in the wake of the arrest of eight illegal aliens in the past month on rape and sexual abuse charges–many involving child victims. A counter-protest by leftist groups is planned with County Executive March Ehrlich as a speaker. (One counter-group passed along a rumor Donald Trump Jr. may appear at the pro-ICE rally: “There are rumors that Donald Trump Jr. will be there”)

Malkin is a former resident of Montgomery County.

The rally is being held at the county government building at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville from 11 a.m. to noon and will also feature WMAL-FM talk radio host Larry O’Connor, local conservative activists and Montgomery County Republican Party chairman Alexander Bush.

Statement by organizer Concerned Citizens Coalition of Montgomery County posted on Facebook:

“Get off the sidelines. Show your support for ICE and the rule of law. Protect American families and children and put sanctuary anarchists in Montgomery County on notice! Bring American flags, signs. Join Michelle Malkin and Larry O’Connor along with Help Save Maryland and grass-roots Maryland activists…special guests to be announced! YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS!”

Co=sponsor Help Save Maryland posted a statement on the rally:

Time for Montgomery County, Maryland to terminate the dangerous “Promoting Community Trust” Executive Order implemented in July 2019.

Demand Montgomery County Executive Marc Erlich and the entire Montgomery County Council begin working with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to remove illegal alien criminals from our streets.

Demand that Elrich and the County Council serve the citizens instead of front groups like CASA of Maryland and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Get Montgomery County, Maryland out of the national news! End the horrific rapes of our children at the hands of illegal alien criminals allowed to roam free in our neighborhoods by our elected county officials.

Let the Montgomery County Police do their jobs of protecting our fellow citizens from MS-13 gang members and illegal aliens.

Meet WMAL’s Larry O’Connor and Michelle Malkin, Nationally Known Blogger and Author of “Open Borders Inc.: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction?”

Other national and local activists will be in attendance and speaking. See Updated Event Information Below.
Spread the word! Find out what you can do to remove illegal alien criminals from our streets and improve public safety. See you Friday!

Statement by co-organizer Takoma Park Mobilization:

Anti-immigrant forces have announced a rally Friday in Rockville, and we’re responding. We need your help…

The Trump Administration has targeted Montgomery County in recent weeks, given our Community Trust Executive Order, in an attempt to spread fear. They have deployed a web of lies to demonize our neighbors and community, including via attacks on County Executive Marc Elrich and council members. Yet the Trust Executive Order enables all residents, regardless of their immigration status, to feel safe and welcome, and it encourages use of vital county resources to help working families prosper. We support it.

We’re counter-protesting. Takoma Park Mobilization and partners initiated MoCo Stands With Immigrants, Friday, September 13 at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville, starting at 10:30 am. National attention is focused on our support for immigrants. We’re going to show our community, our elected officials, and the Trump Administration what we’re really about.

Event: MoCo Stands With Immigrants

Where: Montgomery County Council Office Building, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville

When: Friday, September 13, starting at 10:30 am

What: A pro-immigrant rally with chants, songs, short speeches (including County Executive Marc Elrich), and maybe marching

Who: 25 advocacy, community, and faith groups and unions… and YOU

Bring: Signs & noise-makers, and wear white (optional)

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/401084097112710/ — RSVP, Like & Share

The location is 10 minutes walk from the Rockville Metro station.

We’re up against an anti-immigrant rally, Concerned Citizens Coalition of Montgomery County #StandWithICE, slated for Friday at 11 am at the Montgomery County Council Office Building location. Click here to see what we’re fighting. There are rumors that Donald Trump Jr. will be there. (We have a permit and have coordinated with Montgomery County officials and the Rockville and county police.) We’re going to outnumber the Antis with a positive message of love and welcome for our immigrant neighbors.

THE ORGANIZERS’ STATEMENT (WORKING VERSION)
We are united in our support of our immigrant neighbors and families. We are united in support of policies that build community safety for all. We are united in rejecting racist, xenophobic attacks on immigrants meant to further President Trump’s destructive and divisive national policies.

We refuse to be silent as anti-immigrant extremists use our community to further their White Supremacist agenda. We refuse to participate in silencing immigrant women and femmes who are leading the solutions to violence against women. We refuse to be idle as extremist media attacks the organizers and policy-makers who are working every day to make our community the best that it can be.

There can be no compromise with those who have invaded one of the most diverse communities in America to spew their anti-immigrant nonsense. Anyone who bows to their anti-immigrant talking points enables racism right here and will be held to account. Racists are not welcome in Montgomery County; immigrants are.
