President Trump with Dan Bishop at Fayetteville rally
Republican Dan Bishop defeated Democrat challenger Dan McCready Tuesday in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District special election.
The race was tight which is why President Trump traveled to North Carolina this week to help boost support for Dan Bishop and Greg Murphy.
With 99.1% of the precincts reporting, Dan Bishop received 50.8 % at 94,984 votes vs. Dan McCready’s 48.6 % at 90,824 votes.
President Trump gloated Tuesday evening and trolled fake news CNN and MSNBC.
Dan Bishop was down 17 points 3 weeks ago. He then asked me for help, we changed his strategy together, and he ran a great race. Big Rally last night. Now it looks like he is going to win. @CNN & @MSNBC are moving their big studio equipment and talent out. Stay tuned!

Greg Murphy won North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional district Tuesday evening to succeed the late GOP Rep. Walter Jones.
Of course the Democrats cheated but Dan Bishop still won.
