GREAT NEWS: Trump to Use FCC and FTC to Police Unscrupulous Liberal Tech Giants

It’s no secret that Facebook and the Silicon Valley tech giants discriminate against conservatives.

Facebook has been eliminating traffic to conservative websites since the 2016 election.

Facebook eliminated page views to a majority of top pro-Trump conservative publishers after the 2016 election.

In 2016 suburban voters and women would check their Facebook pages and see conservative news.  That is no longer the case.  And in November these voters chose Democrats.

Facebook continues to wipe out conservative publishers.

Facebook eliminated at least 1.5 billion links to conservative articles since 2017.  It likely made a difference in November 2018.  80% of women age 18-49 have Facebook accounts.  Many of these women get their news from Facebook.  Facebook knows this and eliminated conservative content on their platform so there would be no repeat of 2016.

Facebook has wiped out conservative content to American users.

This influence map below by Columbia Journalism Review shows the top influencers during the 2016 election.

And here is that same map showing the conservative publishers who have been targeted by Facebook since 2017.

Facebook continues to wipe out conservative publishers. Americans will no longer see articles from conservative websites even if you follow them.

And now — for some mysterious reason — President Trump is not resonating with suburban women?  That was the plan.

In July President Trump held a White House Summit on social media censorship.

The Gateway Pundit was invited along with several conservative publishers to attend.

As TGP reported at the time, the President announced his administration will be exploring regulatory solutions to address the shadowbanning and banning of conservatives.

“Today I am directing my administration to explore all regulatory and legislative solutions to protect free speech and the free speech rights of all Americans,” Trump said. “We hope to see transparency, more accountability and more freedom.”

On Friday Brian Fung at CNN reported details of the upcoming executive order on social media censorship of conservative voices.

Trump is getting the FTC and FCC involved.
The far left tech giants won’t like this.

A draft executive order from the White House could put the Federal Communications Commission in charge of shaping how Facebook (FB), Twitter (TWTR) and other large tech companies curate what appears on their websites, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.

The draft order, a summary of which was obtained by CNN, calls for the FCC to develop new regulations clarifying how and when the law protects social media websites when they decide to remove or suppress content on their platforms. Although still in its early stages and subject to change, the Trump administration’s draft order also calls for the Federal Trade Commission to take those new policies into account when it investigates or files lawsuits against misbehaving companies.

If put into effect, the order would reflect a significant escalation by President Trump in his frequent attacks against social media companies over an alleged but unproven systemic bias against conservatives by technology platforms. And it could lead to a significant reinterpretation of a law that, its authors have insisted, was meant to give tech companies broad freedom to handle content as they see fit.
