BREAKING: Active Shooter in Midland, Texas – 7 Dead, 21 Injured – Update: Shooter Killed by Police

Police in Midland, Odessa Texas are on the hunt for multiple (three?) active shooters.

Police confirmed one suspect is in custody as of 4:45 PM local time and a second shooter, and possibly a third, is still on the loose driving a stolen mail truck.

One Texas State Trooper is injured according to Midland police.

At least seven people are dead and 21 injured after a suspect was shooting from a stolen USPS mail truck.

The Daily Mail reported:

A shooting with multiple injuries has been reported in the neighboring cities of Midland and Odessa, Texas.

Police say they believe there are two shooters in two separate vehicles. Initial reports indicate that at least one person has been killed and 30 people have been injured.

One suspect is believed to be at the Cinergy in Midland and the other is believed to be driving on Loop 250 in Midland.

The two suspect two vehicles in question are: a gold or white small Toyota truck and a USPS Postal Van.

The suspects were shooting at people on Interstate 20 and Highway 91 from Midland to Odessa.

Midland Mayor Jerry Morales said, “They are shooting at random. We have two fatalities and up to 20 injuries.” reported The Sun.

Police are urging people in Odessa and Midland to stay in their homes.
