UPDATE: ACTIVE SHOOTER — 6th Police Officer Shot In Philly’s Nicetown-Tioga Section — Officers Trapped in Home!

At least six police officers on Wednesday afternoon were shot in Philadelphia’s Nicetown-Tioga section.

The officers were taken to Temple University Hospital in an unknown condition.

Four confirmed officers were shot — according to Philly News 3.

UPDATE—- PHILLY News 3 just updated the count to six cops shot.

Eric Gripp, Sergeant at Philly Police Department provide an update: Suspect is still firing. SIX (6) PPD Officers shot – at area hospitals with non life threatening injuries. Additional officers also receiving treatment for non-gunshot injuries. Continue to avoid area. Situation is active and ongoing.
