Video Of Hollywood Superstar Toweling Off Seats For Gold Star Military Families Goes Viral

Not everyone in Hollywood is a virulent Trump-hating blowhard.

Take Jon Voight.  He’s won an Academy Award (out of four nominations) and he’s been nominated for 11 Golden Globe Awards, winning four. But he’s also a common sense, down-to-earth guy who puts his love of country first.

On July 4, Voight attended Moms for America to join Gold Star families at the Rally for Freedom as part of President Trump’s “Salute to America.” The weather was rainy early in the day, so Voight grabbed a roll of paper towels and began wiping off the seats for the families, who are relatives of U.S. military members who have died in service of America.

Mike Hahn, a Trump supporter who attended the event, captured video of Voight’s act of kindness.

“While Hollywood Elites protested President @realDonaldTrump’s ‘Salute to America’ on July 4th… Here’s a video of John Voight cleaning the rain off seats for Gold Star families. This is what it’s all about!” Hahn wrote.

Voight, who starred in “Midnight Cowboy” and is Angelina Jolie’s father, has been outspoken in his support of Gold Star families.

A few days before the event, Voight said: “There’s no greater honor than to stand with these moms who have lost their loved ones who sacrificed for our country, for our freedoms, and who love and honor and respect our nation,” Voight said. “If they knew anything about the Second World War, they’d know that socialism is a disaster It’s never produced anything anywhere in the world. It’s an economic sinkhole, but it also produces nothing but misery and violence.”

Voight on Tuesday also posted a video on Twitter expressing his deep support for Trump.

“My fellow Americans, I stand with you and the truth of our nation, with great pride and honor. I say this truly from a place of God’s truths. Our nation is stronger and wiser because we have taken a chance on a man who has become the greatest president. I’m honored to call him President Trump.

“And as we come closer to 2020, let us track all the magnificent documentations that have been signed, sealed and delivered to this country and its glory. We must continue this race of truths and stand with President Trump for his next win. Because this is more than win; this is not a sacrifice. This is God’s honor, God’s trust for this nation. For this land of liberty. For justice for all.

“This is America, this land of the free. This is our president, Donald Trump, that will set the nation to be the greatest land of peace and love … and great again. God bless.”
