Latest Wall Street Journal Anti-Trump Hit Piece Falls Apart —
On Wednesday The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump White House ordered the US Navy to keep the USS John S. McCain out of view during President Trump’s trip to Japan.
The hit piece was meant to do the most damage to President Donald Trump.
This comes after his very successful visit to Japan.
WSJ Reporters Rebecca Ballhaus and Gordon Lubold claimed “The White House wanted the U.S. Navy to move “out of sight” the warship USS John S. McCain ahead of President Trump’s visit to Japan, according to an email reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
However the email evidence was later posted by CNBC and it does not say the order came from the White House.
Two sources confirm to @CNBC that this is the email showing coordinated efforts to put the USS John McCain “out of sight.”

Now the truth comes out—
Following the report the US Navy and President Trump denied the reports.
The name of USS John S. McCain was not obscured during the POTUS visit to Yokosuka on Memorial Day. The Navy is proud of that ship, its crew, its namesake and its heritage.

President Trump said he was not informed about anything having to do with the USS John McCain.
I was not informed about anything having to do with the Navy Ship USS John S. McCain during my recent visit to Japan. Nevertheless, @FLOTUS and I loved being with our great Military Men and Women – what a spectacular job they do!

So the White House had nothing to do with this email.
And then there is this from U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet, Cmdr. Clay Doss, who said the photo in question was taken before President Trump arrived in Japan,
“The picture of the Tarp is from Friday and it was taken down on Saturday. Paint barge was also removed ahead of the visit. All ships remained in normal configuration during the President’s visit.”
But the truth does not matter to the anti-Trump media.
WSJ White House contributor Rebecca Ballhaus then accused Acting Defense Secretary Pat Shanahan of knowing about the move.
Acting Defense Secretary Pat Shanahan was aware of the concern about the presence of the USS John McCain in Japan and approved measures to ensure it didn’t interfere w/Trump’s trip, a U.S. official said.https://t.co/6ugPceCOre

But Defense Secretary Shanahan refuted that too.
Via FOX News:
Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan “was not aware of the directive to move the USS John S McCain nor was he aware of the concern precipitating the directive,” his spokesman, Joe Buccino, said.
But it doesn’t matter.
The bogus story is out there and now and the liberal media is off another another anti-Trump feeding frenzy.
This is how fake news is started.
