House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy Hits Back at Pelosi: Nadler Lied, Not Barr (VIDEO)
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Thursday hit back after Speaker Pelosi accused AG Bill Barr of committing a crime during his Senate testimony.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi set the media ablaze Thursday morning when she accused Barr of committing a crime when he lied to Congress.
Pelosi accused Bill Barr of misrepresenting facts during his Senate testimony regarding the letter Mueller sent him on March 27th.
“What is deadly serious about it is the attorney general of the United States of America was not telling the truth to the Congress of the United States. That’s a crime,” Pelosi said referring to the March 27th letter Robert Mueller sent Barr complaining about the media coverage of the finding of his final report.
“He lied to Congress. He lied to Congress. “That’s a crime,” Pelosi told reporters.
McCarthy hit back during a presser on Thursday and said Nadler is the one who is lying, not Bill Barr.
“I do not believe Attorney General Barr lied,” McCarthy said.
“I think if people are looking at who has lied in the process, simply look at Chairman Nadler — Chairman Nadler asked the attorney general to come [to testify] and he said ‘yes’…” McCarthy said.
McCarthy pointed out that after Barr agreed to testify to the House Judiciary Committee, Nadler changed the format to have staffers question Barr instead of committee members.
Nadler brought down the gavel and staged a hearing on Thursday morning even though Barr’s seat was empty — Nadler is insane and purposely did this for show.
McCarthy added, “Nadler has been wanting to impeach the day after the election…”
Reporter: [Pelosi] said the AG has lied, committed a crime. What's your reaction?
