In December populist Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro announced his plans to allow Brazilians without criminal records to own firearms.
The “Trump of the Tropics” made an election promise to fight corruption and crime in the world’s fourth-largest Democracy.
On Friday Barack Obama traveled to Brazil to campaign against President Bolsonaro’s plan to expand gun ownership.
Of course, Obama lied to the crowd and said US gun laws “don’t make much sense” and claimed anybody “can buy machine guns.”
Obama added:
“Some of you may be aware our gun laws in the United States don’t make much sense. Anybody can buy any weapon any time. Without much, if any, regulation, they can buy it over the Internet, they can buy machine guns.”

As the Washington Free Beacon reported this was complete rubbish and factually incorrect.
Obama doesn’t care.
Bolsonaro should toss him from the country.
