Michael Cohen Offers Democrats More Dirt to Postpone His Prison Sentence – Claims He Has Hard Drive with 14 Million Files
President Trump’s former lawyer-turned-rat Michael Cohen offered Democrats ‘more dirt’ on Thursday in an attempt to stay out of prison for a little bit longer or reduce his sentence.
Cohen’s sewer-dwelling, Clinton-linked lawyer, Lanny Davis said in a statement that his client recently obtained a hard drive with 14 million files from his computers over the past 10 years.
Lanny Davis’ full statement:
“Michael Cohen’s recent public and closed-door testimony to Congressional committees has triggered additional areas for investigation by law enforcement authorities and the Congress. In fact, Mr. Cohen has recently obtained a hard drive with 14 million files from his computers and phones over the past 10 years, which we believe has significant value to the various congressional oversight and investigation committees. Yet Michael Cohen is the only person in the Trump organization who has been prosecuted. The actions against Mr. Cohen appears to be selective prosecution and the sentence imposed is a disproportionate one. For him to surrender in 30 days would be a detriment to committees search for truth, as well as a miscarriage of justice.”
Lanny Davis argued that the 14 million files could spur additional investigations and the new findings could provide “significant value to the various congressional oversight and investigation committees.”
Cohen’s lawyers argued their client needs more time to analyze the information in the files and asked to postpone his incarceration by “about four weeks”
Michael Cohen was sentenced to 36 months in prison in December for lying to Congress, ‘violating campaign finance law’ (he didn’t) and crimes related to his taxi medallion business.
Cohen was originally scheduled to report to prison on March 6th, and his incarceration was already pushed back to May 6th.
