Democrat Nadler Suggests Jail and Fine of $20,000 per Day for Trump Officials Who Refuse Subpoenas

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) earlier this month reportedly suggested fining Trump officials who do not honor congressional subpoenas.

Nadler joined WCBS on Monday to discuss the Democrat strategy to force Trump officials to testify before Congress.

Nadler told WCBS 880 that he will call on the Sergeant at Arms to arrest Trump officials. And then fine them $20,000 daily until they appear.

Rep. Nadler: “Someone is in contempt of Congress, you send the Sergeant at Arms and you arrest them. Alternatively you fine him $20,000 a day, whatever. We could do this.”
