CNN straight news reporter (just ask him) Jake Tapper opened his show, The Lead, Thursday afternoon waving his arms and screaming, “Let them eat Trump steak!”
With anger in his voice, Tapper added, “The Lead starts right now!” and turned away from the camera as the opening played over him.

Tapper’s angry insult to President Trump was likely fueled by the contents of this report by CNN’s Abby D. Phillip attacking Republicans over federal government workers not getting paid during the border wall funding impasse. Phillip’s nearly three minute long report failed to mention that Democrats have voted down several recent Republican proposals to pay federal workers during the shutdown.
