Howard Dean, former Vermont governor, ex-DNC Chair and failed Democratic Party presidential candidate, openly spoke online about the Democrats’ hope for a double impeachment that would remove President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence from office to be replaced by soon-to-be Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), saying, “We would welcome President Pelosi.”
Howard Dean.
Dean was commenting on Twitter about the brawl between Bernie-bros and Beto-bots over the looming Democratic Party battle for the 2020 presidential nomination. Someone mentioned the odds were better of Pelosi becoming president than Bernie and Beto slugging it out in a two candidate field.

Agreed & it's too bad, because there is a big & interesting field, but with these attacks Bernie's supporters are inadvertently crowning Beto. If it does come down to a two man race, it's over for Bernie. Like Trump, he can only prevail in a crowded field & for similar reasons.

I would add I think it's likely not to come to this: I would give better than even odds that @NancyPelosi will be the next President. Not guaranteed, but good odds of it.

Dean responded, “That is actually possible. Trump has to be removed, which is not far fetched. Then Pence has to go. Case has not been made. If that happens, however, we will welcome President Pelosi.”

Removing both Trump and Pence is far fetched as it would require two-thirds of a GOP-controlled Senate to convict and remove them from office in an unprecedented double impeachment trial that would negate the 2016 presidential election. But that doesn’t stop Democrats from considering it now that they will control the House, which has impeachment power, starting in January.
