CNN Head Jeff Zucker Blasts President Trump After Mail Bomb Sent to CNN NY Bureau

CNN President Jeff Zucker released a statement Wednesday afternoon that appeared to blame President Donald Trump for the mail bomb delivered to the CNN bureau in New York City Wednesday morning that was addressed to former Obama CIA Director John Brennan. The device did not explode and no one was injured.

The statement by Zucker was posted to the CNN Pressroom blog page dedicated to news about the mail bomb,  and to Twitter.

Statement from CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker:

“There is a total and complete lack of understanding at the White House about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media. The President, and especially the White House Press Secretary, should understand their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that.” Jeff Zucker, President CNN Worldwide
