BREAKING NEWS.
Christine Ford has agreed to testify after Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley gave her a 2:30 PM deadline Saturday–but no commitment to a time or format….
As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced late Friday night via Twitter that he has caved on his 10 p.m. EDT deadline for Christine Ford to decide on testifying before the committee about her uncorroborated charges accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting decades ago at a drunken high school pool party.
Friday night’s extension was the fifth one given to Christine Ford.
The hearing is set for Wednesday in which we will hear testimony from Christine Ford and Brett Kavanaugh.
Ford’s lawyers have not committed to a time or a format yet–it appears this may be another delay tactic since they were facing a deadline.

Update: From colleague Matt Leach. WH official to Fox says latest from Ford counsel “is an ask to continue ‘negotiations’ without committing to anything. It’s a clever way to push off the vote Monday without committing to appear Wednesday.”

No commitment to time or format given!
In the latest msg by Ford’s atty to cmte, they just reiterated they are willing to appear, but no committment to time or format. This doesn’t clarify things much further. Saying Ford is willing to appear is just consistent with what Ford has said before.
