So Joy Reid Linked to a COMPLETELY ACCURATE Gateway Pundit Post on Cartoon Riots in 2006 — And Free Beacon Attacks Us??? WTH?

In 2006 The Gateway Pundit broke an amazing story on the ongoing Denmark Cartoon riots.

The Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy (or Muhammad cartoons crisis) began after the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published 12 editorial cartoons on 30 September 2005, most of which depicted Muhammad, a principal figure of the religion of Islam.

Muslims rioted across the Middle East after the cartoons were published resulting in at least 200 deaths. Several Western embassies were attacked in the rioting.

On February 2, 2006 The Gateway Pundit broke a significant story on the Muhammad cartoon riots.

Here is that post………………….

THIS WHOLE DANISH CARTOON CONTROVERSY WAS MADE UP BY THE “ISLAMIC SOCIETY OF DENMARK” WHO SPREAD THE FAKE CARTOONS ON THEIR TRIP TO THE MIDDLE EAST!

The leader of the group is a radical Islamist known for supporting the Anti-Western Islamist struggle!

The organisation Islamic Society in Denmark toured the Middle-East to create awareness about the cartoons, bringing 3 additional images, which HAD NEVER been published in any media source. Evidently, the originals were not offensive enough for the trip so they had to add these three:

The first of the three additional pictures, which are of poor quality, shows Muhammad as a pedophile demon.*

The second shows Muhammed with a pig snout.*

The third depicts a praying Muslim being raped by a dog*.

BBC World also aired a story showing one of the three non-published images, on 2006-01-30, and wrongly claimed it had been published in Jyllands-Posten.

On the tour, the group claimed to represent 21 different Muslim organisations in Denmark, although many of these groups have disclaimed any connection.

Akhmad Akkari, spokesman of the Danish Muslim organisations which organised the tour, explained that the three drawings had been added to “give an insight in how hateful the atmosphere in Denmark is towards Muslims.”

……………………………………………………..

The Gateway Pundit then discovered four days later on February 6, 2006 that the pig-snout “Muhammad” cartoon was actually a photo from a pig squealing contest:

Joy Reid in 2006 linked to our exceptional reporting.

There was absolutely NOTHING inflammatory about the reports.
The Gateway Pundit broke two stories that debunked the entire radical Islamist narrative that caused mass rioting and over 200 deaths.

On Thursday Alex Griswold at The Washington Free Beacon reported that Joy Reid linked to The Gateway Pundit in 2006 long before The Washington Free Beacon was launched:

In the post, Reid linked to notorious conspiracy and birther site Gateway Pundit and scoffed when an American Muslim group called the controversy a “learning experience.”

Griswold links to an inaccurate Washington Post article that accused The Gateway Pundit of being behind the “crisis actor” meme (in the headline).

The Gateway Pundit NEVER ONCE used the term “crisis actor” in any article on the Parkland school shooting.

Alex Griswold repeated the Washington Post’s smear (from Media Matters) that The Gateway Pundit is a conspiracy website — despite the fact that TGP is a conservative website that has been debunking the liberal mainstream media and making headlines since 2006… And despite the fact that we have a better track record than the Washington Post and most mainstream outlets!

Alex Griswold then went on to accuse The Gateway Pundit of being a birther website which is a complete lie. We have never accused Obama of being born in Kenya.

What the hell, Free Beacon? Get your act together and quit smearing fellow conservative websites!
