Pres. Trump Warns Mexico Over Allowing Illegal Migrant Caravan, Drugs Targeting US

President Donald Trump fired off a series of tweets Sunday morning warning Mexico about letting illegal aliens and drugs flow through Mexico to the United States. Trump singled out the caravan of illegal migrants from Central America marching through to the U.S. with the permission of the Mexican government. Trump threatened Mexico over NAFTA and DACA if nothing is done.

Trump also called on the Republican controlled Senate to end the filibuster to pass tough laws securing the border.

Video from March 26 showing Mexican authorities allowing 1500 illegal migrants to sweep through a border checkpoint from Guatemala:

Trump posted three tweets on the out of control border:

“Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. “Caravans” coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!”

“Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!”

“These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act!”

It is not clear if anything can be done to stop the illegal migrant caravan from entering the U.S., hence Trump’s reference to catch and release. However, pressure can be brought to bear on Mexico, as Trump is doing now.

The caravan is organized like an army.

The caravan is organized and led by a group called Pueblos Sin Fronteras.
