Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) came to fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s defense and trashed President Trump Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.
NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Rubio if McCabe was treated fairly during the process that led to his termination just days before he was set to retire with a fat taxpayer-funded pension.
“I don’t like the way it happened. He should’ve been allowed to finish through the weekend,” Rubio said.
“Obviously he [President Trump] doesn’t like McCabe and he’s made that pretty clear now for over a year,” Rubio said.
“We need to be very careful about taking these very important entities and smearing everybody in them with a broad stroke.”
Rubio then went on to say McCabe’s firing demoralizes the FBI workforce which is utterly ridiculous.
Fox News’ Adam Housley spoke with agents at the bureau after McCabe’s firing and they are HAPPY. McCabe was a part of a small clique of FBI officials who were all about control; he does not have support from many agents inside the FBI.

As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, Fox News’ Adam Housley said that the Inspector General-Office of Professional Responsibility report had uncovered “tons of stuff” on McCabe unrelated to the Trump investigation and that McCabe’s firing was a morale boost to FBI agents.
Adam Housley also reported the investigation into McCabe was not political and it started BEFORE Trump became president.
Housley also confirmed this had nothing to do with Trump’s tweets or Nunes’ memo and said much more will be revealed in the much-anticipated IG report which will be released shortly.
This is why Marco Rubio is NOT president of the United States; he’s a Washington insider who fiercely protects the swamp.
