*UPDATED*: Suspected Texas Tech Shooter Arrested — Police Officer Shot Dead (PHOTOS)

An active shooter has been reported at Texas Tech. One Police Officer has allegedly been shot dead.

Suspect Hollis Daniels is in custody, according to The Daily Toreador.

According to reporter Sarah Self-Walbrick Hollis Daniels is the suspect. Texas Tech spokesman Chris Cook has confirmed the identity.

The suspect was in custody when he pulled out a gun and killed the officer.

Another photo emerges of Hollis Daniels, a 19-year-old student, suspected of fatally shooting Texas Tech police officer.

KCDB reports:

A Texas Tech police officer has been shot and killed at Texas Tech Police Headquarters.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Monday night at Texas Tech Police Department headquarters, 413 Flint Avenue.

Texas Tech campus is on lockdown, everyone on campus should shelter in place.

Early reports say the shooting suspect is 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The inside of the building has been cleared and a SWAT team is assisting with the search.

Everyone is advised to avoid the area of 4th & Flint.
