As Special Counsel Robert Mueller expands his investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, one has to ask, who isn’t implicated in the greatest witch hunt in U.S. history?

Michael G. Flynn, the son of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, is a subject of the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential election and possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign, according to four current and former government officials.
The inquiry into Flynn is focused at least in part on his work with his father’s lobbying firm, Flynn Intel Group, three current and former officials said. It’s unclear when the focus on Flynn began.
Barry Coburn, who said he is serving as the younger Flynn’s legal counsel, said he couldn’t comment on the matter.
Michael G. Flynn’s status as a subject of the Russia investigation widens the publicly known scope of the probe. NBC News has reported that those under investigation have included the elder Michael Flynn and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. Others under scrutiny by Special Counsel Robert Mueller include Trump campaign ally Carter Page, Trump son-in-law and senior White House adviser Jared Kushner and President Trump’s son, Donald Jr.
Recently, a list of past and current Trump administration officials notified to prepare for interviews with Mueller’s team has been leaked to the Washington Post.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has alerted the White House that his team will likely seek to interview six top current and former advisers to President Trump who were witnesses to several episodes relevant to the investigation of Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the request.
Mueller’s interest in the aides, including trusted adviser Hope Hicks, ex-press secretary Sean Spicer and former chief of staff Reince Priebus, reflects how the probe that has dogged Trump’s presidency is starting to penetrate a closer circle of aides around the president.
Each of the six advisers was privy to important internal discussions that have drawn the interest of Mueller’s investigators, including his decision in May to fire FBI Director James B. Comey and the White House’s initial inaction following warnings that then-national security adviser Michael Flynn had withheld information from the public about his private discussions in December with Russia’s ambassador to the United States, according to people familiar with the probe.
As TGP reported on last Thursday, Special Counsel Robert Mueller wants to interview White House staffers over a misleading statement made over Don Jr.’s meeting with Russian lawyer Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in June 2016. As previously reported, Donald Trump Jr. released a statement detailing his meeting with the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya after the bottom feeders at The New York Times got another anonymous tip from deep state officials that revealed Trump insiders met with a Russian lawyer to discuss adoptions from Russia:
After this story hit the media, people in the Trump administration put together a statement on Air Force One that didn’t perfectly align with the events of the meeting. The statement given to the New York Times claimed Don Jr.’s meeting was arranged with Veselnitskaya to discuss adoption of Russian children.
It also came out that President Trump was involved in issuing Don Jr.’s statement. Big deal…he asked for help from his father.
While there is some truth to the meeting having to do with a program about the adoption of Russian children, it was also revealed that Veselnitskaya promised Don Jr. dirt on Hillary Clinton in order to land the meeting. Again, there is no crime in that. This is standard operating procedure for oppo research during a presidential campaign.
In fact, Hillary Clinton’s camp did the same thing by meeting with Ukrainian journalists in order to dig up dirt on the Trump camp. Why isn’t Mueller investigating that?
