According to the White House, there will be no change in Spicer’s plan to resign from the Trump administration.
Washington Examiner reports:
Outgoing White House press secretary Sean Spicer is still expected to leave the White House as planned even though new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is on the way out after just five days on the job.
Spicer opposed Scaramucci’s hiring and resigned over President Trump’s decision to bring him on board. But White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said she wasn’t aware of any changes to Spicer’s plans.
“I’m not aware of any changes that have been made on that front,” Sanders said.
Spicer is on track to leave the White House by mid-August. He has been serving as communications director as President Trump worked to fill the job.
Scaramucci was removed from his position as White House communications director earlier Monday, just 10 days after the White House announced he was hired.
It's worth noting that Anthony Scaramucci was never sworn in, and that Sean Spicer hasn't officially left his White House employment yet.
